We now have our child care room open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am - noon. Our child care room is supervised and children are engaged in activities and provided a snack while their parents are focused on finding work or housing in our Job Development Center or meeting with a Resource Counselor or Personal Development Coach for direct services and resource referral.
Francis House Center invites you to contribute to our 13th Annual Holiday Gift Drive. It is our hope to collect more than 500 unwrapped presents by Friday December 15 to accommodate children, ages 0 – 17. Teenagers are the most overlooked. Please drop them off at the locations below or Francis House Center. Gift cards are very helpful, please drop them off at Francis House Center only. Thank you for helping to brighten the holidays for those less fortunate!
Have you ever wondered about the people we serve?
Randall never expected to end up on the streets, anyone who knows him wouldn’t believe it could happen to him. In the delicate balance of life things can change quickly. Arriving in Sacramento to start a new job, he discovered that the man who hired him had lost his job and consequently, Randall too was without a job and suddenly on the streets. He came to Francis House feeling lost and alone, but determined to change the situation. With the help of resource counseling, direct services and our Job Development Center, Randall is starting a new job and making plans to rebuild his life, one step at a time. This could happen to any one of us, but there is hope and help available. Please support Francis House Center with a donation today, so we can continue to help people like Randall get their lives back on track. Donate Now!
We had a Volunteer Appreciation Party at Camp Pollock on Nov. 3 to celebrate our wonderful volunteers who generously offer their time and energy to help those in need at Francis House Center. More Volunteer Party
"I came to Francis House looking for help in whatever was offered. Yvette got me off the street and into a safe, drug free environment. If it were not for her help I would still be on the streets, or possibly dead. I wouldn't be where I am at if it weren't for Yvette and Francis House." Wesley, 20
"I heard about Francis House and they were a life saver. They gave me and my son hope, a room for a week and food. The staff is wonderful. You never know about life. One day you are working and everything's fine and the next day you lose your job, your house and you're homeless. You never know." Royal
